Landlord FAQs

Useful answers before we talk.

Every property is different, but these are the questions that come up most often at the start of a landlord conversation.

How do you assess the right rent?

We look at comparable homes, current demand, condition, location and the features that matter most to local renters. The aim is a realistic rent that attracts the right interest without leaving value on the table.

How do you choose a tenant?

Applicants are subject to identity, credit, affordability, employment and previous-landlord checks. We present the verified information clearly and keep you involved in the final decision.

What does fully managed mean?

It means Zello remains the day-to-day point of contact after move-in: collecting rent, coordinating maintenance, keeping records, carrying out inspections and supporting the tenancy through renewal or check-out.

Can I move an existing tenancy to Zello?

Yes. We can review the current tenancy, records and management position, then agree a practical handover plan with you and the outgoing agent.

What certificates might I need?

Requirements vary by property and tenancy, but commonly include a valid EPC, gas safety record where gas is present and a satisfactory EICR. We can explain the relevant checks and coordinate them where instructed.
